Day 3 – The team took off from Billing and after a good day of flying has landed in a village called Sarachi. The distance is approx 60 kms from Billing.

Day 1 : Billing – Dharamsala
“given how slow the roads are in this part of India and how fast the flying is, we decide to fly to Dharamsala, the most western most part of the journey, rather than drive.
It’s an unseasonably stable and slow day but still plenty good enough to go and return.

after a long soak in the hot springs, high in the Himalayas, with an incredible star filled sky….the team flew off this morning. Conditions were not fantastic, infact BAD!!! So lets see. At least if all goes…mmmmmdown(!!!) Billing take off is on the route! Always tomorrow eh.

Himalayan Odyssey Expedition took off – Day 1

The Himalayan Odyssey 2010 paragliding expedition took off from Bir-Billing on March 09, 2010. The conditions were not very great but all 7 pilots managed to fly to Dharamsala and back to Billing.
The team is geared with customized UP Paragliding wings, Supair harnesses and state of the art SPOT satellite messengers.
